week one

Week one of my new journey is in the books! I tried to focus mainly on making smarter food choices, portion control and mindless munching. With those few changes, I’m down almost 3 pounds. Small steps, right? 🙂

My focus this week is to be more active. I started the Barre Blend workout program this morning, which is a little out of my comfort zone. I’ve started a few of the other Beachbody programs, but never finished so we’ll see how this one goes. Personally, I prefer to get a workout in first thing in the morning before the others get up. Here’s to me not being a self-saboteur and being a repeat snoozer.

I feel like I definitely could have done better last week, but I did make some small progress. Like I’ve said, I’ve been down this road before. I know what I need to do and I know that what I’ve done before has worked for me. At one point, I had lost more than 30 pounds! I know I can do this…I’ve done it before. It’s now time to just do it!
